"Deal Ready" Status Sweetens Industrial Sites

Rob Jensik had been on the job as executive director of the Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce just a couple of days when he learned of a new tool for marketing industrial sites that seemed too good to pass up.

The program was being promoted by the West Tennessee Industrial Association as a way to fast-track small industrial properties for potential customers by certifying that those sites met or exceeded a prescribed set of criteria typically required by industries looking to expand or relocate. Tagged Deal Ready, the program was funded by WTIA with support from the Middle Tennessee Industrial Association, while the third-party certification was handled by Atlanta-based site consulting firm CH2MHill Lockwood Greene.
